Aramco Asia Japan (AAJ) recently hosted the 2018 Quality Exchange Meeting and Workshop, an event organized annually by the Quality Management Division with its partner inspection agencies.
The meeting and workshop was designed to strengthen relationships, ensure full engagement with senior management of inspection agencies, address collective achievements, share lessons learned, and provide an outlook for future projects.
'The Quest for Excellence'
The one-day event, under the theme “The Quest for Excellence,” featured extensive discussions on areas for improvement in inspection agencies' and inspectors' performances. It attracted over 60 representatives from seven inspection agencies. Aramco Asia senior management and selected staff from the Korean, Chinese, and Indian offices also took part.
In his opening remarks, AAJ representative director Omar M. Al-Amudi extended a warm welcome to all the attendees.
He emphasized the importance of this annual meeting with quality business partners to ensure full engagement and to maintain and strengthen relationships. Al Amudi also highlighted “the key message that quality management can protect reputations, save money, and drive innovation within organizations while recognizing how we can all contribute to building a quality world together.”
Achievements and recognitions
Muhannad A. Yousef, head of the Aramco Asia Quality Management Division, briefed the attendees with an overview of the Asia-Pacific region quality management collective achievements and future outlook.
Inspection agencies participated in an afternoon workshop by taking the lead in sharing best practices and tackling areas for improvements.
The event concluded with a recognition ceremony where certificates of appreciation were presented to the participating agencies and presenters. Yousef concluded, “This year's event's theme was 'The Quest for Excellence,' because when you excel, we all excel, and we have a successful journey together.”
