アラムコ、F1日本グランプリに参戦

コロナ感染症のパンデミックにより2年間開催を見送っていたフォーミュラ1^®の日本グランプリが、数多くのドライバーに愛される高速レーシングコース、鈴鹿サーキットに再びやって来ます。

アラムコは2020年に、この国際的なカーレースの長期的なグローバルスポンサーとなることを発表しました。当社がメジャースポーツのグローバルスポンサーになるのはF1が初めてで、これがアラムコと世界中のレースファン5億人とを繋ぐことになります。

フォーミュラ1^®シーズン終盤に行われる日本グランプリは、その勝者がシーズンの王者になるとも言われるほど注目を集めるレースです。過去日本グランプリで優勝した34名のうち、実に13名のドライバーがワールドチャンピオンに輝いています。

鈴鹿サーキットのレーシングコースは全長5.807kmで、全10チームが53周回を競い、世界最速のエンジンを搭載した最も速いレーシングカーの最速ドライバーを決定します。

レースが開催される週末には、ピットレーン・ウォークやホット・ラップというレーシングカーの同乗体験、ガイド付きトラックツアーなども催されます。 「パドッククラブ」ゾーンにあるアラムコの来賓室からは、チームのガレージやピットレーン、そしてスタートおよびゴールラインがよく見えます。

フォーミュラ1^®日本グランプリ決勝は鈴鹿国際レーシングコースにて、10月9日（日）に開催されます。2019年に実施された前回のレースでは、バルテリ・ボッタスが優勝、2位と3位にセバスチャン・ベッテルとルイス・ハミルトンがそれぞれ表彰台に上がりました。
